Intro

Professional coach since 1990, he has coached throughout Italy at all levels, from youth categories to Serie A.


Over 35 years as a professional in the cities of Agrigento, Bergamo, Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, Casalpusterlengo, Chieti, Naples, Orzinuovi, Pesaro, Recanati, Reggio Calabria, Rome, Sassari, Scafati, Trapani.


In his career, he has been a lecturer for over 10 years for the Italian Basketball Federation at Coaching Courses for the training of coaches and new young coaches.


In 2013, he had an important experience abroad as a Consultant to the Director of the Sports Department at Loyola University in Chicago.

In 2015, he completed a two-month technical update in the United States at the Universities of Boston, Brown, Providence, Columbia, Stony Brook, Seton Hall, Fordham, St. John’s, Princeton.


In 2023, he carried out another training period in Italy at Virtus Bologna, Armani Milano, Derthona Tortona, Pallacanestro Brescia, Pallacanestro Varese, Fortitudo Bologna.


Also in 2023, he traveled to Belgrade as a guest of Partizan Belgrade for an additional training period, where he observed team practices and matches.

He has collaborated with top coaches such as Bianchini, Caja, Pancotto, Lardo.

He has extensive experience with youth teams, having participated in 4 National Finals.

He was an Instructor and Coach for 11 years at the Italian Basketball Federation Coaching Courses.

Assistant Coach of the U20 National Team at the European Championships in Turkey in 1996.

From 1994 to 1997, he promoted basketball in the Rome area through a “School Project” from concept to final product, in collaboration with CONI, the Ministry of Education, the Board of Education, and the Italian Basketball Federation, involving over 70,000 students.

Instructor and speaker at F.I.P. Masters from 1999 to 2016.

He was Head Instructor for the FIP at the 2000 Rome Coaching Course.
He was a lecturer at the IUSM in Rome for the Basketball Chair.

Consultant for banking groups and private companies as a speaker on topics such as Team Play, Team Building, Conflict Management, Identification and Management of Leaders, Talent Management, etc.

In 2007, he participated in the “Database Training” seminar by CONI.

In 2007, he was Head Coach at the 7th GIBA Master Camp (Italian Basketball Players Association).

In 2008, he was Head Coach at the Benetton Summer League for the Allibert Team.

In 2012, he attended a training course in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and was officially recognized by Richard Bandler’s school.

In 2013, he was a consultant to the Director of the Sports Department and Vice President at Loyola University in Chicago.

Guest speaker at the International Clinic in Gran Canaria.

Speaker at the Coaches’ Clinic during the National Italian Cup Finals in 2015.

In 2015, he completed a two-month technical update at the Universities of Boston, Brown, Providence, Columbia, Stony Brook, Seton Hall, Fordham, St. John’s, Princeton.

In April 2016, he coached Andrea Bargnani during the National Team’s training camp, upon the explicit invitation of Ettore Messina (National Team Head Coach) and the Italian Basketball Federation.

Award

As a young coach, he was ranked First Place of Merit in the Top Class of Emerging Italian Young Coaches.

Awarded “Coach of the Year” by CONI in 2013.

Awarded the “La Retina d’Oro” in 2013.

In February 2017, he was named Coach of the Month by the National Basketball League.

In 2017, he was awarded the “Bronze Palm for Sporting Merit” by CONI.

In 2022, he was awarded the “Silver Palm for Sporting Merit” by CONI.
